The bite is not super hot, but we’re still pulling fish through the holes! Fishing around the 30-foot mark has been producing the best bite. Fat head minnows continue to be the bait of choice. The fish aren’t liking an over aggressive presentation, so a nice light jigging will do the trick! Orange & Yellow buckshot spoons have been the best for jigging. While White & Red Demon Jigs have been a great dead stick presentation.

As always, we’ve got some anglers with some nice slot walleye this week and a few fat burbot and perch as well (see pics below.)

Tip of the Week
Jigging with a buckshot spoon will make some noise and draw in curious fish. A lot of fish are biting the dead stick but the houses having the best luck are making some noise on the bottom. And keep an eye on the dead stick but light, subtle bites. You never know when a giant walleye will cruise by so it pays to be ready.
