The fall bite is here. We’re catching walleye in good numbers on both the North and South ends of the lake. The jig bite is producing right now, which is a fun way to catch walleye. Gold, pink and white jigs tipped with a minnow are great colors. And pulling spinners with a crawler is always a go-to on Lake of the Woods. Depths vary from 18 – 28 feet.

The shiners have started to migrate and will move into the river, which means the walleye will follow. As they strap on the feed bag, the time to catch giant walleye is almost here!
